Hua Hin Municipality, in collaboration with the Hua Hin/Cha-am Tourism Business Association, the Tourism Authority of Thailand's Prachuap Khiri Khan Office, and partners in Hua Hin, launched the Hua Hin Food Festival 2024 on August 2 at the seaside area of Queen's Park (19 Rai). The event will run until August 4.
This event features a local food zone, daily cooking demonstrations of 4 kitchens with 4 menus, offering free tastings of savory and sweet dishes every day. There are competitions for seafood papaya salad preparation and fruit and vegetable carving.
The festival also includes bartender workshops. Over 100 booths from famous hotel operators, restaurants, and community eateries in Hua Hin district are participating. The organizers expect the event to generate a circulation of more than 10 million baht in revenue.

This was always a must attend in my diary. However, the last one I went to was so poor, I vowed never to go again. I hope for the sake of everybody that attends, the standard has returned to where it used to be.

We haven't been since COVID. Before that we found that even if it wasn't raining the ground would be wet from earlier rain and there was never enough seating if you didn't want to eat while standing up or walking. Would be interesting to know if things have improved.

It does seem they are holding it at the wrong weather time of the year, unless it's primarily aimed at Thai weekenders.
My weather data shows it will be a damp weekend in Hua Hin, so the same problems hhinner mentions may prevail once again?

My wife went with friends on the first day. They went early 5:30 and it wasn't too crowded. They left around 7 and it was jammed. She isn't a real foodie but she said there were quite a few of the hotels and big name restaurants there.

Apparently there is another 'Hua Hin Food Festival' and concert at the Boxing Park this long weekend.
